Genghis Cohen is a Chinese restaurant in Los Angeles, located at the corner of Fairfax and Melrose. There is a music lounge which is separate from the restaurant, and seats up to 60 people (although it would be very crowded). There is a small stage area at the front. They mostly book solo singer/songwriter acts.
The show began around 8 PM. Mari performed seven songs, and played her piano along with all of them. Two of the sangs were new--both of them were in English. She sang No Limit, Airmail from Paris, More than yesterday, "D" (English version), and Blueberry Jam.
Next she sang the two new songs--both of them are very serious, sad songs. The titles were Right Now and rained again. I thought they were both really outstanding, especially rained again.
Finally, she sang Do you remember love? as an encore. The audience cheered very loudly and enthusiastically.
After the last song, Mari went around to the people in the audience to thank them personally for coming to see her. She also posed for a picture with her friend Zelda.
